2009– 2010 SCHOOL YEAR

NEW STUDENT ADMISSION PROCEDURES

I. For all levels:

  • Fill out the "student application form" and if so desired, attend an informative session.
  • Before the admission evaluation, parents must submit:
      1. A copy of the child’s birth certificate; please verify that the name is correctly written.
      2. One recent photograph, "infantil" size.
      3. Original and copy of official SEP/UNAM report cards of the previous and present school year. If unavailable, you must hand in a SIIEP certification.
      4. As of pre-first, copies of the current school’s internal evaluation form or report card (English and Spanish), and letter of good behavior.
  • Pay the admission evaluation or observation fee ($1,100.00 pesos) with a check written to Servicios Eton, S.A. de C.V.
  • Make an appointment to schedule the admission evaluation.
  • If your child is accepted, complete the registration procedure within a term of no more than three business days. After this time, his/her place will no longer be reserved.
  • To be eligible to make enrollment fee payments, all students are required to submit an original birth certificate, original official school records, original CURP for Mexican students, and FM2 or FM3 for foreign students.

II. Nursery – 1st grade:

    • Students must have the minimum age indicated by SEP, and must submit an official SEP document proving that they have already studied a certain grade level, if applicable.

    • To be admitted into 1st grade, students must have a functional knowledge of English.
    • Kinder, Pre-First and 1st. grade applicants are required to attend an after-school session for admission evaluation.
    • For Kinder through 1st grade, admission evaluation results shall be provided as of second Monday of March.

    III. Elementary 2nd – 6th grade:

    • Applicants must have a functional knowledge of English.
    • If required, applicants must attend school for a three-day observation period. If applicable, parents may be required to meet with the Psychopedagogy Department.
    • Parents will need to call the Admissions Department to inquire about the evaluation results eight days after tests have been given for groups that have space, or after the second Monday of March for groups where there is no space. 

    IV. Jr./Sr. High School:

    • Applicants must have a grade average of 8.0 and full command of English. Parents will need to call the Admissions Department to inquire about the evaluation results eight days after tests have been given for groups that have space, or after the second Monday of March for groups where there is no space.

    The School reserves the right to administer an admission exam.

    NEW STUDENT ADMISSION PROCEDURES

    ACCEPTED STUDENTS

Once a student has been accepted, enrollment must be completed within a term of no more than three business days. After this term, the student’s place will no longer be held.

For all levels, before any administrative procedures may be completed, parents shall need to submit the following documents:

A. Early Childhood:

  1. Original birth certificate.
  2. Original official SEP report card for the previous year, if applicable, and last report card for the current year.
  3. Original CURP for Mexican students, and foreign students with FM2 or FM3.

B. Elementary School:
  1. Original birth certificate.
  2. Original official SEP report card for the previous year and last report card for the current year
  3. Original CURP for Mexican students and foreign students with FM2 or FM3.
  4. Proof of no overdue payments issued by the previous school.

C. Junior High School:

    1. Original birth certificate.
    2. Original and copy of official SEP records for previous grade levels.
    3. Original CURP for Mexican students and foreign students with FM2 or FM3.
    4. Two frontview “infantil” size photographs.
    5. Proof of no overdue payments issued by the previous school.

    D.. High School:

      1. Original and coy of birth certificate.
      2. Original and copy of the official certificates (SEP/UNAM) for previous grade levels.
      3. Original CURP for Mexican students and foreign students with FM2 or FM3.
      4. Two frontview “infantil” size photographs.
      5. Proof of no overdue payments issued by the previous school.

    Note:   Official SEP and UNAM certificates for the current school year must be submitted before the first day of school.

    E. Foreign and Mexican students who have studied abroad. Revalidation and Document Legalization Procedures

    • Foreign students must hand in:
      1. Original and copy of migratory document.
      2. Duly certified copy of birth certificate.Foreign student birth certificates as of 5th Grade Elementary must be legalized and/or annotated.
    • Students who have studied abroad must hand in:
      1. Copies of official report cards,annotated and/or legalized and translated.
      2. As of 6thgrade Elementary, all foreign school certificates must be:
      • Legalized by the corresponding official departments from the country or countries where studies were coursed.
      • Revalidated by the SEP or UNAM “Revalidation Department”, depending on the grade level. The school will provide parents of new students with guidance on how to obtain the equivalence or revalidation of their children’s studies. However, it is the parents’ responsibility to complete the necessary formalities and obtain it within the deadlines set by SEP/UNAM
