Our International Approach at Eton High School
At Eton High School, here in Mexico City, we consider every student unique. We strive to give them an engaging learning environment and opportunities to develop their individual interests through a broad academic program and various activities that promote key skills such as communication, collaboration, self-management, creativity, and innovation—which help them succeed in higher education and life within our globalized society.

The International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Program (DP)
Eton School Mexico is distinguished as an IB World School in Mexico City. Students can study this academically rigorous, highly regarded international high school program—the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Program (DP)—under the expert guidance of our highly experienced international teachers.
The IBDP is a challenging two-year curriculum aimed primarily at students aged 16 to 19 that we offer in Grades 11 and 12. These studies lead our students to a certification widely recognized by the world’s top universities.
DP Study Plan
To complete the DP, 11th and 12th grade students complete all DP Core subjects and one subject in each group.
- DP Core: Theory of Knowledge (TOK), Extended Essay (EE), and Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS)
- Studies in Language and Literature: Language A: Spanish Literature (HL) and Language A: English Language and Literature (HL)
- Language Acquisition: Language B: English (HL)
- Individuals and Societies: History (HL), Economics (SL), Business Administration (SL), and Psychology (SL)
- Mathematics: Analysis and Approaches (SL) and Applications and Interpretation (SL)
- Sciences: Chemistry (SL), Biology (SL), and Physics (SL)
- Arts: Visual Arts (SL)
High School Certificates
At Eton High School, students take the UNAM (Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México) program to obtain their National High School Certificate.
They also can receive two international high school certificates:
• The International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma, or individual IB course certifications
• A legalized American High School Certificate from Cognia
These certifications are highly recognized by prestigious universities all over the world, thus giving them the opportunity to succeed in their future career choices.
Developing Individuals
International mindedness fosters a global perspective of our world. During our students’ high school years, they are active participants in multiple interdisciplinary projects and activities, through which we promote an understanding of the wonderful cultural diversity both within our school community and the greater international community.
We collaborate with other schools using a variety of technologies so our students can share and learn alongside students from around the world.
Social-Emotional Skills
Our high school students enjoy Eton’s social environment, affirming their identity and building their self-esteem through positive and constructive interactions. We value their individuality and uniqueness within our culture of continuous thinking and learning.
Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS)
During their time at Eton High School, our students develop an awareness of their role and responsibility as members of their community, family, and global society.
Eton students are involved in a series of community service projects where they develop their social consciousness through partnerships with various communities, including the Alzheimer’s Foundation, the Mexican Association for Children with Cancer (AMANC), Comedor Santa María, and Charity Coalition, among others.
College and University Guidance
At Eton High School, our students receive close orientation from a College Counselor, who supports them throughout their college admission process in order to ensure they are selecting universities that meet their personal and academic needs.
If our students plan to pursue higher education abroad, they receive assistance to take the TOEFL, IELTS, and/or SAT exams, as well as additional support when completing their application forms.
