We ensure our students always feel their thoughts and needs are being listened to or considered. According to our 2021 Cognia survey, more than 90% feel like they can reach out to principals and teachers when they need to talk to someone and be heard.
Our teachers also implement Conscious Discipline, a self-regulation program that integrates social-emotional learning, school culture, and discipline—helping students better understand and regulate their emotions when they’re upset. We also offer yoga classes and mindfulness practices; well-being and resilience conferences and workshops; and personal meetings for students in need of support.
