From the very start of schooling in the Early Childhood and Elementary years at Eton, project-based learning is a hallmark: responding to different provocations, goals, and themes of what to study, your child’s curiosity will lead them to find or create the answers they’re seeking. Through the Middle School and High School years, our students continue to inquire and develop their curiosity with the IB program, making choices that serve their interests and exciting futures.

Our teachers ensure all lessons and projects are accompanied by real-life experiences, so our students immediately connect their ideas to their surroundings. By going on field trips or having special materials and experts visit lessons, our teachers always provide amazing learning opportunities, going well beyond textbooks.

PURPOSEFUL LEARNING

CARING THAT DRIVES ACTION

At Eton, our students learn early on that they have a responsibility to make the most of what they have and to give back to others. All members of the Eton community connect with other local communities in need—to help in ways that authentically impact a cause and create a positive difference in the lives of others.

Eton sponsors Centro Educativo José Vasconcelos, a local high school that delivers quality education to low-income students—giving them many of the same opportunities as our Eton students. Our Early Childhood students specifically work with Unidos por la Montaña to fundraise to sponsor another student's nutrition and education for an entire year; and our Elementary students work with Comedor Santa María to also support the nutrition of underserved communities through fundraising. In Middle and High School, our students contribute to Manos por la Educación—fundraising and helping rebuild a low-income school damaged in the 2017 earthquake.

Your child will discover how much learning can happen beyond the classroom at Eton. During activities, after-school clubs, or sports tournaments, for example, your child will be eager to go beyond what they know and solve complex problems.

After-School Program (ASP)

As our students grow up, we want them to participate in activities and games with their peers, as they delight in discovering their artistic skills and their team spirit. We reinforce their talents and physical abilities individually as well as collaboratively.

Music

Our students participate in our music program during mornings with their groups and can continue to further their skills in private lessons during afternoons.

Model United Nations

Middle and High School students can model the debates and proceedings of a UN committee, as they prepare for national and international MUN conferences and organize their own international event on campus—Eton MUN.

Outdoor Education

ONE-OF-A-KIND OUTDOOR EXPERIENCES

There’s no need to simulate an activity in a classroom at Eton when your child can experience it! During our annual camping trips, your child has the chance to create lasting bonds with their classmates over a memorable weekend of outdoor activities including team-building and problem-solving. They will learn in a stress-free environment and discover new parts of the world.

A HEALTHY BALANCE

ENSURING YOUR CHILD’S WELL-BEING

At Eton, we strive to reach a healthy equilibrium between all aspects of a child’s education and development: the academic, the artistic, the social, and the emotional. This balance, supported in our safe and engaging learning environment, allows your child to develop the self-confidence and independence they need to feel happy and empowered.

We ensure our students always feel their thoughts and needs are being listened to or considered. According to our 2021 Cognia survey, more than 90% feel like they can reach out to principals and teachers when they need to talk to someone and be heard.

Our teachers also implement Conscious Discipline, a self-regulation program that integrates social-emotional learning, school culture, and discipline—helping students better understand and regulate their emotions when they’re upset. We also offer yoga classes and mindfulness practices; well-being and resilience conferences and workshops; and personal meetings for students in need of support.
