Our Approach to Teaching and Learning
Why is Early Childhood education important at Eton? During the early childhood years, we make our students’ first experiences in the Eton Preschool both meaningful and memorable, and this builds the foundation of positive experiences in school, fostering their love for learning from the very start. We continually strive to create a warm and positive school climate, promote social-emotional intelligence, and foster self-confidence and independence among our youngest learners.
We support our students in their search for understanding and their acquisition of new knowledge, skills, and attitudes through provocative experiences—provided by physical, social, and intellectual interactions with the environment. Our teachers continually monitor their students’ learning with the aim of improving and customizing the activities and projects.
The children become actively engaged by inquiring in depth about real-world topics that allow them to gain a greater understanding of their world.
