We are looking for a passionate and experienced School Counselor to join our educational team at the High School level with the IB Diploma Program. The ideal candidate will be a dedicated professional committed to the academic, personal, and social wellbeing of students, with a deep understanding of the IB Diploma Program’s demands.

The Counselor will be responsible for providing emotional, academic, and professional support to High School students, guiding them in their personal development and in making important decisions regarding their education and professional future. The role also involves offering guidance on stress management, social skills, and handling difficult situations, in alignment with the values and approaches of the IB.

Duties:

  • Guides students through the college application process
  • Offers advice on college selection, financial aid, and preparation for standardized tests
  • Provides academic and career counseling
  • Knowledge and understanding of the IB Diploma Program
  • At least three years of experience as a Counselor
  • Fully bilingual, English-Spanish
  • Assists students in identifying suitable colleges and universities based on their academic interests, goals, and strengths.
  • Provides information on college admission requirements, application procedures, and deadlines
  • Helps students develop and refine their college essays and personal statements
  • Organizes and facilitates college visits, university fairs, informational sessions and internships

Academic and Career Counseling:

Financial Aid and Scholarship Support:

Standardized Testing Preparation:

  • Providing information on standardized tests, such as the SAT, ACT, IELTS and their importance in the college application process
