Teacher Profile
In a thinking and learning environment, a motivating and effective teacher is the most important element influencing student achievement. Teachers are important to develop a school culture of equity, excellence, and relevance.
To make this happen, teachers are:
- Understanding and supportive of our vision, mission, and philosophy by adapting and implementing the pedagogic practices that they contain and we value.
- Respectful and appreciative of individual and cultural differences, in words and actions.
- Responsible for reading school communication and documents, including the Tell Me on Tuesdays weekly newsletter, website, emails, policies and procedures, handbooks, or booklets, in order to be aware of, and comply with, all responsibilities.
- Responsible for establishing effective communication with the appropriate school authorities when a concern arises and for expressing the problem in a courteous and thoughtful way. Eton teachers avoid making hurtful and/or destructive comments inside or outside the school environment.
